Adoptable Policy
If you do not follow these standards, your bid may be revoked, regardless of if you won the auction or not.
If you have anything certain in mind that may be controversial or was not discussed, please ask me before placing a bid.

You have your rights to do what you want with the character you buy.
You may change the character you buy in any way you see fit. You may use them for whatever you wish, even if it is for commercial profit. However, you do not have rights to the original art of the character beyond personal use. Granted, you can use it for icons and other graphics if you wish (as long as credit is always given!!!), but you have no right to use the original art for commercial purposes. |
Regarding Closed Species Adopts
Again you are free to use the character as you see fit, even in commercial purposes such as prints, commissions with your character, and others. You CANNOT however profit off my closed species idea in anyway or lay claim to it. I must always get credit for the species in any submissions and you can't edit any of the major/important species traits. (i.e. my yusune species have a third eye/markings) Basically as long as your not making money off my species design as a whole and crediting, I don't mind! |
You are welcome to gift the adoptable or trade with someone else.
However, please notify me before gifting/trading the adoptable, for I may wish to purchase it or as simple as keeping an eye on it. Please be sure to direct the new owner to this page and make sure they agree with my policy. On top of this, once the trade/gifting has been conducted, the new owner cannot resell or make financial profit off of the design in anyway, for they did not technically purchase it. |
Co-owning adoptables
Co-owning any design bought is acceptable but the details must be between you and the other parties only. I will not settle any disputes should problems occur. I only ask that if splitting the adopt payment is involved that you do so fairly, and you don't charge the other person more than you bought the adopt for, as you would be gaining profit from my work. Again, the person you are co-owning with must agree to and follow the terms on this page. |
Do not retract bids, or you may be blacklisted.
Retracting bids can cause a lot of issues in an auction. To prevent this from occurring, please be sure your bid is set in stone. If there is a chance you cannot pay, please refrain from bidding.

Adoptables are NON REFUNDABLE.
- Unless I am looking to buy the design back, adoptables are non-refundable just as a typical commission. Determining Resale Value. - Please notify me before selling the adoptable, for I may wish to purchase it or as simple as keeping an eye on it. - If you wish to resale the design, you are prohibited to sell above the amount you bought it for. It may not exceed. For example, if you bought an adoptable for $10.00, it must be sold at $10.00. No, not even $10.01. - In order to prevent scams, you may raise the resale price if you purchased art of the design. (Say you bought the design for $10, and then bought $20 art of said design. That would raise the resale value to $30). However, if you drew art yourself or received gift art (basically if you did not pay) then you cannot raise the price. - Make sure the new-found owner of the design agrees to my policy before purchasing the design. |
WHAT ARE SNIPE GUARDS AND HOW DO THEY WORK?
A snipe guard basically means the auction will be extended by x amount of time until the bidding stops; for example, an auction ends at 10:00pm and the snipe guard is 1 hour. So anyone bidding in the last 15 minutes of 10:00 pm would have to hold the highest bid for an entire hour, and if no one bids during that hour the adopt is theirs. They can place the bid at 9:59pm and the auction won't close until 10:59pm. If someone bids during that extended hour, then the hour will 'reset'. Ending on XX minutes of the next hour, of when the bid is placed.
Snipe guard only comes into effect if the new bid is placed with the last 15 minutes of when the auction was originally supposed to end. Anything more than that i qualify as 'fair' and enough time for all parties that want to to counter the offer made to put in their bids.
Snipe guards are a chance for anyone who has been stalking an adopt to be "guarded" from people "sniping" their adopt at the last minute; They could've been watching one for an entire day and at the last minute of the auction have it sniped away by a higher bid.
Also it's more fair to people with slower internet connections or those who don't have the time to sit at the computer and watch an auction. Though ultimately it is the buyers responsibility to know when they have been outbid, etc. as i do not give warnings.
